The control panel is flashing all lights with an Er message. Not mentioned in the manual and doesn't seem to have a way to reset. Thanks

Have you tried disconnecting it from power for several minutes?
Frigidaire 3460 Dishwasher
I don't know what 3460 is but it does not look like a dishwasher model number which is what we need to identify the appliance in question. Any other assistance will likely need it.
You can find tips for locating the model and serial number tag *on your appliances* at the following link:

I have had similar problems. I have a model GLD3450RDQ0 that was installed (by an appliance store ~6 months ago. A little history:
My home did not have a dishwasher installed when I purchased. Previous owners indicated they once had a dishwasher, but it had a problem leaking water so they removed it and replaced with a wooden insert under-counter (next to sink). There was 120vac wiring from ckt. breaker box (neutral & ground are connected to same bus bar) to under sink (from crawl space to under sink is in conduit into a sealed junction box).
When my model # was installed, (removal of the insert listed above did indicate a water problem in the past) they utilized the existing wiring. This worked for less than 2 weeks before I would constatnly get a PF flashing code on the display. It got to the point where it would do this fairly quickly after resetting. (Yes, I know PF is power failure and it should display this after a reset, but it would usually take less than 2 minutes before it would revert to this state).
I moved the breaker in the box from one side of the 240vac to the other. This seemed to alleviate the problem for about a month. As this problem then continued, I was able to get the store where I purchsed to replace the electronic controller after they re-examined my wiring from the ckt. breaker box to the dishwasher to verify its correctness.
As I continued to experience problems of the nature listed above, the store next replaced the entire dishwasher with the same model #. This seemed to work fine for a month or two, but then we started get all the indicators flashing on the front panel along with an ER message.
The service people then came out and determined that not all the buttons were working on this unit, so they replaced the keypad. This worked fine for a short while, but then nothing would work when pressing any selection on the keypad.
Service people back out again (all of this is under warranty so far!) and replaced the entire electronic controller. Again, I got about a month's usage out of it and now I have the flashing ER message again. Time to call service again.
I have personally checked the wiring from dishwasher to breaker box and cannot find anything wrong. As you may be able to tell, this is getting very frustrating. I thought by purchasing this model (at a higher price) I would be buying some quality, but that has yet to materialize. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
This is very unusual for any dishwasher to do this, I would say something in the breaker/wiring is not right, I would have a electrician take a look at your breaker/wiring.

Just got off the phone with local appliance store. Fridigaire representative was there also and apparently there is to be a recall for the electronics in this machine. I am expecting a new controller to be installed next week sometime (not a replacement, but a re-designed control board).
At this time I can't speak to the validity of the recall, but I'm hoping this does solve my problems.

Has there been any update on the recall for this error. We have the same model (3450) and have just started to get this error in the last couple of days. I'm not sure if it will be covered under warranty but if there is a recall, I would like to know before calling Frigidaire. Thanks for any info you can provide....

I have the same problem with my Frigidaire PLD3460RDC dishwasher (Flashing "ER" code, not in manual). I've read about other people saying they've had recurring electronic and control panel problems with this dishwasher. I'm calling Frigidaire today, but I'm curious if others have had this problem with the same model?

We had our dishwasher repaired under warranty. The Repairman was not aware of any recall on the product but he did replace the controller electronics with new parts. I'm not sure if it was a redesigned part (as indicated in the post below) or just a replacement part in kind...as I said, the repairman did not know either.
The entire job took about 20 minutes since the technician seemed to know what he was doing.
I must say that Frigidaire were quite pleasent to deal with on this issue. They managed to find a time that was convenient for us to schedule the service call and like I said above, the technician seemed to know what he was doing. We have not had any problems with the unit since then (about 3 months)...

Our PLD3460RDC had the same problem (flashing lights). Took Frigidaire's local authorized service company 9 WEEKS to come out and fix it after the diagnosis, claiming the replacement part wasn't available. They replaced the switch panel but not control panel. Six weeks later the same problem...flashing lights, dishwasher not working. Both the dishwasher and part are now out of waranty period (1 yr & 30 days, respectively), and Frigidaire just says "sorry". From all the problems I've read, these machines should either be recalled or start a class-action suit.
