Amana Belt

Smoked the belt on my Aman washer...pre KitchenAid. do I really neeed to take the whole thing apart to R&R the belt. Looks to me like I do. Suggestions. I am a poor remodeler, and would like to fix it myself if possible. Thanks.

Amana..KitchenAid - no connection there that I know of.

Belt replacement on these is a slightly intimidating job to the uninitiated, but possible.

Main thing is use ONLY the factory-authorised replacement belt on these. It is designed to have the right amount of slip/grip to enable your washer to work properly. This is CRITICAL on Amanas.
