My Frigidaire leaks water on the freezer side. A puddle appears every day on the floor in the front of the freezer. Inside the freezer on the bottom there is ice buildup. I think a drain must not be working. Do I need to defost the freezer? Is there a drain that needs cleaning? Any suggestions?

The defrost drain is on the back bottom inside the freezer , underneath the evaporator coil, de-ice it and run something through it, like a plastic tube, or a mini-snake which you can buy at any hardware store.

it worked for me! i cleaned out the blockage of dust and dirt that had prevented the water from draining beneith the freezer. i used a blowdryer to defrost the coil and the upper drip pan. i just aimed it into the vent and watched it melt, run into the pan, down the hose and into the bottom. no more puddle! thanks for the tip!:p
