Unhappy [FIXED] Bosh Dishwasher. The door will not close. As repair

    Model Number: SHE44C05UC/38
    Brand: Bosch

Hi. One question. I have a problem with a Bosch dishwasher. The door will not close. It seems that the door latch is not holding the door. I read some post and tell me that the problem is that turning the fastener. I do not know, and return it to its previous state. I could help solve it with a manual or I have to buy a new door latch. The strange thing is that dishwsher works with the door open. Lava and everything. If I buy it again as I install. I could help.

If the dishwasher runs with the door open there is a problem with the door latch assembly. Maybe that is also the reason the door is not staying shut. I would change the door latch assembly
Latch Assembly (part #1106108) from RepairClinic.com
After that if the door still does not want to close DO NOT force it closed otherwise you will break the new door latch assembly. If the door does not want to close you will have to loosen the screw on the latch hook and adjust it until the door closes. Here is a picture of the latch hook.

Jack thank you very much for the help. I installed a new door latch and the problem was solved. The problem was the latch, had been closed though the door was open. Sure the customer pulled too hard or worn. Thank you very much for the help.

Default bosh diswasher door not closing

    Hello,
I purchased a Bosh Dishwasher about a year ago...the problems I've been having finally make sense since this is one of Bosh's cheapest lines in their dishwasher product-line.

    1) none of the dishes dry and i was told i bought the model that has no heater so i need to open the door and let the dishes air dry anytime the cycle is over

    2) my biggest problem now is that the door will not close properly. Each time i turn on the dishwash "regular wash" cycle, after 20 minutes into the cycle, the door pops open. There is quite a bit of hot steam coming out of the washer, and I need to really jam my knee into the door to close it. however, after 10 minutes of the cycle continuing, the door opens again...and the same happens every 20-30 minutes until the cycle finally ends. Any recommendations with what to do?

    Thank you so much

    Hi,

Make sure the d/w is level or even better is the front is -slightly- higher than the back.....probably new latch time would also be a good idea.

Thank you for the quick response - do you know where I can buy a new latch? Thank you.

Grab your model# ( often on the side of the door or door opening ) and use it at a parts depot like this one here.
