Default SHU9902UC noise and not cleaning

    Model Number: SHU9902UC
    Brand: Bosch

My 11 year-old Bosch SHU9902UC/U06 has started making a moaning noise during it's wash cycle. Additionally the upper tray doesn't seem to be getting washed at all and the lower tray is only partially washed. It will run it's full cycle and it will drain and fill. The filters are clean.

Pump failure? Cost effective to self repair? Ease of repair?

Lastly, my wife has decided we are changing the color/finish of our appliances from white to stainless. Assuming I can repair the unit is there an available stainless front cover?

It is probably a little late for this reply, but it is most likely that the circulation pump impeller has separated. It is made of two parts, and they have separated. This is causing very low pressure to the bottom spray arm, and nearly no pressure to the top. It is a moderately difficult fix. New impeller and seal is about $70.
