Unit does not start up
Brand:
Bosch
Age:
1-5 years
I have a 4 yr old Bosch shx46a05uc that just stopped and will not power on. It stopped with water "not" drained.
So far I have completed the following steps in troubleshooting.
- I have checked the junction box and I have 122V present.
- Checked the Power on switch and I have 122v present
- I have 122v to the power pin on the control module
- I did have a burnt relay connection on the control module and I cleaned and resolder the connection.
- Relays on the board looked the same part number so I switched the Heater relay with on of the others. Hoping to change the sympton but proble remains the same.
Need help on where to go next. Product is under 5yr extended warranty but Bosch will not ship me the control module for me to install. They will only send out a technician to install and I have to pay the labor. Is there anyway to get a warranty part without having the tech install it?
I am a computer technician and currently work mechanical and electrical equipment all the time.
Question:
Do you think it is the control module?
and anyway around getting the warranty part with out paying for labor.
Thanks,
Ron

I am in a similar situation
I have the same dishwasher. Same thing happened, mid-cycle the dishwasher stopped, water in bottom, and no lights on the display. ON/OFF cycling does not work. Power is to unit at dishwasher junction box. Power is to the control panel. I have not gone any further. Did you ever get a resolution?
