Hi,
Are you saying something is running with the door open? Door switch should prevent this. With the drain pump running all of the time, need to check the float to make sure it is not stuck up or that a leak hasn't put water into the base causing the float to rise and turn on the drain pump.
If needed:
Door latch & strike plate, with microswitch

Hi Jeff
I took the screen off and I disconnected the drain hose from the disposal then filled the base with water and it drained good. When the base drained down I noticed a small leak is this normal. and yes when I leave the door opened and turn on the power the pump turns on.

Jeff,
I let the pump run for a few minutes and watched with the screen off and saw water coming from a small hole. Is it possible that there is a valve under the unit that am be stuck open causing a small stream of water?

The base of the d/w?

No leaking is normal. If the base of the d/w gets water in it the float will rise up and trip making the drain pump run all of the time because the d/w thinks it is in a float mode.
and yes when I leave the door opened and turn on the power the pump turns on.
Doesn't sounds like the door switch os working properly.

If you disconnect power from the d/w and water still is weeping in then yes the fill valve can be mechanically sticking open and needs replacing.
Water inlet valve

Ok...same as before...apears the drain is running because the float is tripped...find out why!...water in the base, bad float, bad float switch, etc.
Water moving around in the sump is normal when one or both os the pumps are running.
