    Default Cycle times are inconsistent

    Model Number: SHU99xx
    Brand: Bosch
    Age: 6-10 years

This dishwasher has buttons along the top edge of the door to select the cleaning cycle. The 2nd button from the right is what we call the 'short' cycle, as all the button labels have long ago worn off but as I recall when new, the short cycle would generally show as around 25 minutes, but it never seemed to be the same number of minutes from use to use. Sometimes now it lights up at as little as 17 minutes, but it does vary from use to use.

What is the cause of this? Shouldn't cycle times always be the same? Very odd. The unit does not have the "2 hour" failure that is widely discussed... our problem is that the cycle times don't seem to be the same from use to use.

    Hi,

Your model# appears to be part of a full model.

Cycles times can change depending on water temp, soil level in the water and the d/w control can add or subtract time as needed.
