    Default SHE4AP doesn't drain

    Model Number: SHE4AP06
    Brand: Bosch
    Age: Less than 1 year

Hi. The usual dishwasher won't drain topic, but for a newer model. Installed less thn 6 months ago. Won't drain water out. Have used the SHU service manual to do diagnotic tests on it. The drain pump spins at the beginning of the diagnostic test, the washer fills with water, but then, drain pump won't spin to remove the water and fails. Could it have something to do with the dirty water sensor thing in the drain? The pump seems to not spin when there is a lot of water in the washer, like above the filter screen. I removed the drain hose from the pump itself, and when it drains at the beginning of the test, the water doesn't fly out real fast. Sort of dribbles out the pump. I tired blowing out the drain hose from the drain pump end and I even blew air into drain pump from inside of washer and couldfel air coming out the drain pump. Could there be a clog between the impellar itself and the drain hose? The impellar spins freely. Does the pump remove by just turning it clockwise to remove it?
    Thanks,

    Hi,

That appears to be part of a full model#.
    I found SHE4AP06UC-03

Installed less thn 6 months ago
    Still under warranty?
If yes, don't mess with it and void your warranty!

If the hoses and filter screens check ok, the pump itself would be the prime suspect. Yes it normally twists to come off.

Seems I fixed it without knowing it. I had pulled the impellar cover/cap off under the filter screen to see if anything was caught down there. And I did find the backflow flap was pushed in for some reason when taking the drain hose off. But it seems that if you don't put that caover back on over the impellar, it will never drain. It needs that cover to help with the suction to remove the water. Without it, the water just splashes around in the drain area. Once I put the cover on, everything was fine. Maybe something was plugged up and I realeased it without knowing. All fixed now,Thanks.
