Default Bosch SHU33 dead but has power

    Model Number: SHU33A06UC/46
    Brand: Bosch
    Age: 1-5 years

The dishwasher does not respond to the on/of switch or the three cycle buttons. It stopped working in the middle of a cycle a couples days ago and now it seems dead.

Pressing the cancel & drain buttons doesn't seem to do anything.

It does have power where I wired it into the front lower left of the unit.

I removed the impeller cover and the impeller moves freely. I pulled out the unit and removed the left side cover. There's something like a float switch there; if I push it up, the pump does work and will drain the tub. But the unit will do nothing else.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Hi,

It does have power where I wired it into the front lower left of the unit
Accross the 2 wires? What was the reading?

Bad house fuse/breaker, burnt/loose wire nut where the power enters the d/w, broken wire in the door ( esp where it bends to open and close ), bad start switch are common trouble makers.

Thanks Jeff. It had 112v across the incoming wires.

Mildly low, 115-120 would have been better.

When voltage drops the amps increases and we can burnt off wires.
