Bosch Dishwasher
I have a Bosch SHE4AM dishwasher. It's two years old. It has two problems. 1. you have to hold the start button for a minute to get it going. 2. it doesn't release the detergent. I have cleaned the detergent compartment, think that it was just sticking. This did not change anything.
have any ideas.

Hi,
That is part of a full mdoel#, I found 10 models starting with those digits. Please recheck on the d/w itself.
1. you have to hold the start button for a minute to get it going
What happens if you don't hold the start button?
it doesn't release the detergent.
The soap dispensor doesn't open or the dispensor opens ok but the soap is still there?

The full model no. Is SHE4AM16UC/01
Pressing and releasing the start button in a normal fashion results in the d/w starting briefly, 2, 3 seconds. Then it stops.
If I continue to hold the button it keeps running.
The soap dispenser does not slide open. We us liquid soap. Thinking that the soap gunned it up I tried rising it out. The sliding door works freely.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kinda sounds more like a sour switch.
No pic.
Switch
The soap dispenser does not slide open
Normally a bad dispensor.
