Default Bosch dishwasher no control lights

    Model Number: Shu6802uc
    Brand: Bosch
    Age: More than 10 years

    Hi,
Our Bosch dishwasher was working very well until 2 days ago..Completely stopped almost at the end of the cycle
Now the power and all other lights are gone.
We checked junction box, all ok
Found a solder had burnt in the middle of the control board, part of the circuit for water heating.
We soldered that and still no power.
Don't know what else to check. Is there a reset or fuse anywhere in this?
    Any help appreciated.
    thanks,
    Bea.

    Hi,

    Shu6802uc
    Missing a few digits.

House fuse/breaker, door switchs, burnt connection where the power enters the d/w, control, broken wire in the door ( esp where it bends to open and close ), on and off switch.....would have to be investigated.

    Hi Jeff,
    The entire number is shu6802uc/u06.
Will try to get these things checked. This is the first time we are trying it ourselves so its taking a while.
Anything specific to be checked in this model?
    Thanks for the quick reply
    Bea.

    Hi Jeff,
We checked all the items you suggested and all are fine. anything else? Is is worth repairing this?
One thing I wanted to check - I had hand washed some bottles with dish soap and did not rinse too well and put it in the dishwasher. Could that have caused this problem?
    Thanks for all your replies.

Sink dish soap can cause sudz and a leak, this can trip the safety float...but that normally stops the filling and turns on the drain pump only.

We checked all the items you suggested and all are fine.
    What was the results/readings?

We get 120v on the switch and from the switch and input power to the board. There are no frayed wires in the bottom.
But when we press the switch nothing happen, no lights come on. Tried the reset ( scrubwash and delicate econo+ power button), nothing happens. The door latch also is fine and we tried depressing the latch and measured the power.
    Thanks

Checked where the main comes into the d/w ( burnt connectors are bad for that spot ).
Not testing with a light nor to ground....right?
Push on and off switch checked ok?

Yes power is coming in, testing with a radio shack multimeter, not to ground, on off switch ok.
So , could it be the control module?
question: will the control module fit in the existing slot ( I read that Bosch has re-designed these) or is there some cover plate that needs to be bought as well?
    Thanks

-If- everything else tests ok and you have power coming into the control but nothing else happening...yupper, time to try a new control.

will the control module fit in the existing slot
    Yes, should be the same.
