Bosch will not start a cycle
Brand:
Bosch
Age:
1-5 years
My Bosch was showing 52 minutes left in cycle the other day but no noise was being made. I opened the door and it turned on, sounded like it was trying to pull out water although there was no sitting water inside.
I reset the machine (held the two 'cancel drain' buttons down) and opened the door and hit "off". the machine turned off as normal and i tried a new load using regular cycle. the minutes showed on both the LED on front and on the top of the door, as usual, but when I closed the door the LED minutes on front shut off after a few seconds. It continued counting down as normal on top of the door but the machine itself wasn't doing anything, basically just counting down the minutes. When I opened the door that original noise of the machine trying to pull out water returned although it never even went into a presoak or any other cycle

Hi,
Float tripped and the d/w is thinking it is in a flood mode?
Float and float switch are normally behind the fill valve ( left side facing the d/w )....and yes often we have to pull the d/w out to access.

thanks for the reply. checked the float and was in good condition and switch registering correct ohms. water level switch works fine too. checked the switch on door and works correctly both open and closed.
strange thing is that the machine stops working when door is closed but attempts to work with door open.
not sure what else to check but must be something in control panel?

hi jeff. i saw on another forum a guy with my model and pretty much the exact same issue and the advice was to change out the water valve. when i had the side open and was testing the unit there was water bubbling out of the chamber (clear with 3 hoses running into it). does this seem like the possible fix?

jeff, tested the water valve solenoid and it registered .988k ... i understand this doesn't mean the valve is OK but just giving you as much info as possible. thanks for the assistance

Missing a couple of digits.
I found SHE66C06UC22 uses valve...
Water inlet valve Manufacturer Number 425458
And SHE66C06UC46 uses fill valve...
Water valve Manufacturer Number 607335
And no the valve shouldn't be weeping in water all of the time. That can/could still trip the safety/float.
Hopefully the door open/closed issue doesn't indicate a door switch problem. For sure do the valve and see what happens then.

My valve looks like the 22 above although it's a 40. I'll call Bosch in the morning.

Hi Jeff
Replaced the water inlet valve and nothing changed. Pulled out the control board and then the PCB but didn't find any soldering errors or burned points. What do you suggest for next step?
Thanks
