    Question Bosch dishwasher, do dishes really dry?

    I am purchasing a new dishwasher. Cost is not the main driver, I would prefer the following features;

    1. Cleans dishes without washing before I load them
    2. Quiet
    3. Adjustable racks
    4. Ability to handle large diameter plates

    I have been told that the Bosch dries very well with no heated dry cycle and I have been told that dishes are always wet. Who is correct?

    The other dishwasher that I am considering is an Asko. Any comments on Askowould also be appreciated.

    Hi,

    I have been told that the Bosch dries very well with no heated dry cycle
    Just uses the heat built up from the hot water.

    and I have been told that dishes are always wet.
    Most today will dry flat dishes and such no problem...anything with a divet on the bottom ( glass cup ) will have water laying in the indent. Using jet-dry helps with the dry cycle also.

    Any comments on Asko
    *I* won't be owning one...JMO!

    Water temp above 135 helps, purge the water from your sink before starting dishwasher so the hot water is up to the dishwasher location. Water hardness should be reasonable, jet dry, etc, etc, etc...

    Buy a kitchenaid.

    Most dishwashers recommend running the faucet before starting and if you dont rinse off or scrape off good you will just be cleaning the screen/sump often..

    They truly do not dry anything as well as less "exotic" models that I have owned. Everything else is superior, but the drying function leaves a lot to be desired.
