I was lucky to catch this problem before my house caught on fire. Since I have to replace this motor I would like to make a upgrade. My question is can i increase the rpm with out causing electrical issues if I keep the same volts and amps? Can any one suggest any alternatives?

Thanks. I think my plan at this point is to just replace the entire unit.
