Default Installation Question

My wife and I were thinking of purchasing a Kenmore Elite dishwasher (made by Whirlpool) for our new kitchen. Since the counters will be granite, our contractor said that we need to confirm that the dishwasher has "side-mount" capability, i.e., so that it can be attached to the cabinets on either side instead of to the granite above. I called the Sears/Kenmore service line, and they are looking into it (but they seemed rather confused). Does anyone know if there are side-mount brackets or kits for Kenmore dishwashers? Thanks much

Thanks for your reply. The model number is 665.13779 -- based on information I saw on the link that you provided, it appears to be manufactured by Whirlpool. I really appreciate your help.

Hi,

That is part of a full model#.
I found 665.13779K601 & 665.13779K600

They have floor mount kit for these to use when the counter top is not wood.

Floor mount kit, dishwasher part number 8171477
