Samsung DV209 does not tumble or heat
Brand:
Samsung
Age:
1-5 years
Our dryer quit working today. It powers up fine and you can select a cycle and hit START and it thinks that it is running but the only thing I hear are a couple of faint clicks that sound like they are coming from the top rear of the unit (I could be wrong).
I took it apart and found the belt was in bad shape and looked like it had come off of the motor so I am going to replace it but when I re-assembled it, it appears to be WAY too big like it had stretched or something. I hooked it around the idling roller (or the tensioning roller?) and the motor shart but it seems WAY too loose to have EVER worked.....
My question is could it have stretched so that it is too big and thus slipped off the shaft? Also what is the part number for it? It says "DONGIL RIBBED BELT 5PH2337" but I haven't had any luck finding one online yet....
Also I noticed a limit switch attached to the tensioner and I assume that it is for when the belt slips off it will cut power to the motor.....which SEEMS like that might be my issue.
Please help! Our clothes need drying!
