Samsung Washer - General question about control board replacement

So I'm kind of excited about getting a new board for my washer..need to do some voltage testing later today but it seems more and more likely a faulty relay or something has failed on the board which is why the drain pump intermittently works.

If its not a loose wire and I order a new board, here is my question:

DI order from Samsung to get latest firmware? I would rather order from this site since you've been so kind to help me with my problem, but I don't know if there is a difference in who you order from. I don't mind paying a bit more because y'all have likely solved my problem so I want to support the site.

Has anyone else had any experience with upgraded boards? Are there generic ones out there or is something this complicated always OEM from Samsung?

It seems the wash/dry/pump cycle has changed slightly with the new board based on a little research..since this washer is so old, its possibly Samsung has tweaked the software since to make it work better.

So any advice is appreciated regarding control board purchasing. I'm probably overthinking it, but I would like to have the latest software if possible.

Thanks!

wildimagination or any Samsung Washer experts? help with 'nd' code during second drain

Quick summary -- washer flashes nd code after long delay at 19 minutes left (on quick cycle). I first took apart drain pump hose and found something lodged in there. after that it 'kinda' worked (very slow cycles..would get stuck at numerous points in the cycle and appear to stall) but it would eventually finish. then it finally stopped, second drain cycle simply doesn't happen and after about 10 minutes I get the ugly tones and it flashed 'nd'. Once this happens (water left in the drum) I have to pull the washer, disconnect the hose and let it drain out. put it back together and it ran and drained - first time - then at 19 minutes left (on short cycle) it leaves water in. I used to be able to switch to the 'rinse and spin only' option and get it to finish but not anymore.

What I've done
- run a few cycles of water only to clean out any suds
- taken top and rear panels off, cleaned hoses again, purchased and replaced the drain pump motor with OEM drain pump motor
- taken PCB out (took photos of it if that is helpful) -- looks brand new, wiped it a tiny bit with damp cloth and put back in
- removed soap dispenser and hose, cleaned hose thoroughly and put back on
- examined inside of washer..everything looks sparkly new except a couple of harnesses in the very middle which I cleaned a bit and plugged back in. so the washer itself still looks like it rolled off the store shelves yesterday..no mold or anything that corroded.
- ordered 'washer recall' circuit adapter and plugged that in.

No love. It seems the PCB might be discontinued..? DC41-00045A Frontier-PJT (BLUE) Version 2

is this a weak link? It seems fine..all lights work and it seems to work partially for wash.

help! what else can I do on this?

I'm sure getting tired of washing machines!!!

Our front load washer had a seal fall off during operation and destroyed out hardwood flooring. I was tired of having a front loader anyway, so found a used speed queen set. A month later it's leaking from the middle of the tub, running down the aluminum thing (transmission??).

So...What's involved in fixing this? Is there a place to get a service manual for this?
