Please help. Dryer has no heat. Have replaced thermal cutoff, thermister on duct by fan motor. Have replaced main control board in control panel. Heating element is good. Power is good to back of machine. Have hooked up new motor to insure centrifugal switch was OK. Will a bad moisture sensor cause NO HEAT. At this point I think there is a bad wire somewhere or a bad new control board. I'm at my wits end. Thanks in advance for any help. When the machine is running there is 110v +/- going to hot side (yellow wire) of element. It doesn't appear to be getting the ground needed to activate element.

Well, you have covered pretty much the heating circuit, have you checked the heating element itself?? wiring diagram

Pegi, thanks for the quick response. I have checked continuity and it does show continuity. No visible breaks even after going all around it with my hands. I have now checked the voltage hooking the meter up to the black wire going to one side of the element and the yellow wire going to the other side of the element. When I turn the dryer on, it does show approximately 110+/-. Is it possible the element is bad despite it shows continuity and has no visible breaks? Thanks again!

Not likely if it ohms out with the wires removed and no breaks found by tugging on the coil.....I would be sure you have 240 volts to the dryer, might have lost one leg at the outlet or perhaps a wire loose or burnt at the terminal block??...so to recap, you have replaced the control board, the cycling thermostat, thermofuse, safety thermostat, thermister, tested the motor switch 1-2....not too much left in there that I can see...if there are no broken wires somewhere, I tried to pull up your tech sheet but did not find it per your model number...

Pegi, yep, the powers there. I've replaced the thermister, thermal limiter, hi limit thermostat, and control board. It appears the machine is not giving the element it's ground. I can ground the end of the element where the black wire plugs and have the element glow. But when I hook the wire on the harness that goes to this end of the element NOTHING.

And you are sure the outlet and the dryer are properly grounded??/

yes Pegi, they are. It belongs to a friend of mine. I told her I could fix it. I actually had to put another plug on it to hook it up at my house. Her house is three prong, mine is four. Same problem at each location with each plug. I unplugged my dryer and plugged hers in after switching the cords. I've gotten in deep here. With everything I've replaced it should be working. Call me a parts monkey, whatever. Does grounding one end of the heating element to the shroud and it work tell us anything? thanks for your help.

I am not sure here, about down to using your volt meter/stick to see where you have lost the voltagee, see where it goes into but not back out??
