Default Timer isn't working -- Frigidaire Gallery commercial heavy duty electric dryer

Our Frigidaire dryer has worked more or less perfectly for about five years, but now all of a sudden the dryer will just run and run without ever self-turning the settings knob to OFF and, therefore, never stopping without manual intervention. So, for instance, we run a load and turn the knob to the "More Dry" setting and when we come back an hour later, it's still on "More Dry." Any guesses? We'd be happy to DIY-fix it if anyone recognized the problem.

Does it do it on timed dry as well?

Do the clothes dry well on all cycles?

Possibly its the timer bad.
