Unhappy 4 year old "Gallery" constant drip from float?

I recently came into our kitchen to find a large puddle coming from our Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher. After removing the bottom panel, I can see the drip coming from what appears to be the part that is called "switch, assy/float" in the part manual.
The model number is GLDB756AS1.
The part I'm referring to is on page 6, #28. ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo...5995374625.pdf
I cannot see a way to turn off the water to the dishwasher, so I've mopped up the water and have placed a bowl underneath to catch the drip until I can get this resolved. Quick help would be greatly appreciated (as I'm sure you can understand)!

Hi,

Read post#4 from this thread, Jeff explains what to check:
http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/showthread.php?t=5695

Wait, is your tub full of water now with it off? Is water coming in all the time even when its off?

Unhappy

Hello Jake,

I did read that post last night, but it did not seem to answer my question, allthough the part that is indicated in the first piture is where the drip is coming from.
The dishwasher is level, no standing water in bottom, and functions properly, as it always has. I've checked inside washer, and everything appears clean and not blocked by any debris. There is a steady drip coming from that part indicated in the other post, and it remains steady whether the dishwasher is running, has been ran, or hasn't been ran. Even a week after a run, ther drip is the same (Problem started about 2 weeks ago, have a bowl under 'drip').
I'm thinking that there is possibly a seam of water coming TO dishwasher that has a leak? Hoping to fix myself, but am clueless about dishwashers...

[EDIT]: Oh! Yes, water comes all the time, never stops, whether dishwasher is running or not... Running dishwasher does not appear to be the problem.
Thanks for any advice you can give!
~Liz

If the dishwasher is filling at all times, even when off, your fill valve is not shutting off all of the way, need to replace the valve...the dw should have a water cut off under the sink??

The dishwasher isn't filling, it's the drip underneath that is constant. The dishwasher itself runs fine with no problems. I looked for a water turnoff, but the only one I see is for the sink. The dishwasher is not next to my sink...
Or do you mean the drip is caused by the fill valve???

Well, would not imagine so, if it is not filling when it is off....if the tub is empty I do not see where that water could be coming from...might see if there is some sort of water trail under the tub where water is coming from a different location, seeping along the bottom of the tub then dripping down when it hits that area? I can see it dripping there if water was in the tub and the seal for that float tube was bad, but seems like there would have to be water in the tub around that tube...

your fill valve is very close to that float switch, it is the one part that can leak while the machine is off and the tub is empty

OK, here is a photo of what is leaking:

I drew a circle in red around the piece that is dripping. A small yellow arrow is pointing to a tube that feeds water to the dishwasher. The drip is coming directly from the piece circled in red... Your thoughts?

Ok, that part you have circled in red is your water inlet fill valve, that will need to be replaced.

Here's the one for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 154476101
