Default Problems with new Frigidaire front loading washer

Just purchased new front loading Frigidaire washer model LTF2940ESO and have already had the repairman out to tell me that the electric door lock is bad and needs to be replaced. The first time it was used a loud buzzing noise came on and would not go off until the washer cut off. Also water stands in the boot/gasket. I have noticed that the drain holes are 1/4'' above the bottom of gasket. This has to be a poor designed boot with no way for the water to drain out. Is anyone else having these problems?

Hi,

Its not a common problem that Frigidaire has on the door lock switches. The switch just came defective, which can happen to any new machine.

As far as the boot is designed, it should drain well, because they were having issues with the older models dripping water on the floor when you opened the door. That inner gap near the tub is normal, Haven't really had any of my customers saying anything about it.
