Default UO Error code

I have a Frigidaire PLD4375RFC0 dishwasher purchased new in April '07.

I am now getting a "UO" error code, which I understand from Googling multiple appliance sites means "vent open". The dishwasher fills with water OK. then shuts down with the error code.

I tried shutting off the power and nothing changed. Any other suggestions that I could try?

BTW, the Frigidaire 800 number they ask you to call when you get an error message is completely useless. You get into an automated menu where all of the choices seem to suggest that you check their website, which has no more info than their owners manual.

Hi,

I found the tech. service data sheet for your model here:
ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo...54580201en.pdf

You have a 1 yr. warranty on your dishwasher, its best to take advantage of your warranty so they can log it in their records, and if it keeps happening then you & they have a good log record in case they can't fix it, you get a new one.

Contact Frigidaire to have a tech. come out.

Thanks. I will call them. I was hoping there was something else I could try that would not involve waiting around for someone to show up at the house.

When I enter my zip code, they suggest I call the "Dishwasher Product Specialist". When I tried their number yesterday they were closed. Apparently they are only around M-F 8:30 to 5:30 eastern.

Again, the 800 number they tell you to call in the owner's manual is pretty much useless.

Yes, they are only open M-F 8:30 TO 5:30 eastern.

I haven't run into any of these models that were giving the "UO" error code, or I could tell you whats causing it.

If another tech. or member has, hopefully they can post the fix.

But I always recommend if anyone still has a product under warranty, to always use the warranty.

I know its a pain to wait around the house all day them, but while your waiting you could learn how to start a blog and make extra cash for the holidays.
