Default door not closing right

Ok i have a frigidaire fwt449gfs1 and I just installed a new latch to replace a broken latch, the old latch pn is 131279000 adn the part i ordered was 131279001 according to the site, that is the replacement part # it latches ok, but the bottom of the door needs a little pressure to keep it running any idea's? I checked the rubber gasket around it and appears to be sealed still.

Dave.

ok i installed the new door lock kit, the counterweight i had did not have a bump, so i didnt need to replace it per the instructions, now i had 1, 2-pin connector left not sure where this goes, i checked 3 times and still cant find it, is it not used on some models? I checked the machine, it fills, but it doesn't spin now, I rechecked the wiring, but wondering if you have anything specific I should be checking.

Thanks,
Dave

Ok, then its possibly your motor speed control board thats bad as well, check this thread for more about it:
Kenmore 417.29052990 frt loader diagnostic procedure
You should have the service sheet for your washer, its located inside the bottom of your washer in the front after you remove the access panel, on the left inside wall.

Here's the motor speed control board for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 131725300

ok jake, I thought i had it working, it does the slow spin only, does not ring the clothes dry at all, now i have a question on the instructions it says for model with serial #xc703 and lower to rewire connection on the harness contector, that goes to speed control board (i think) but the SN i have is xc93439211 and it says SN above skip that step which i did. I just want to make sure i am reading this correctly.

And i did have one extra 2 pin connector with a white and red wire.

anything else to try before trying a new speed control board?

Dave

Yes, everything with your wiring seems correct, so its likely your speed control board thats bad.

Also check your wire harness connector were it plugs into your motor, I've seen the little metal pins either burn out or back out of its slot.
