My Frigidaire GSB5755DS dishwasher runs for about an hour on the norml cycle, then enters HO (water heater delay) sometimes for up to 3 hrs. The water going into the dishwasher is VERY hot, so I don't understand why the heater would need to be on for so long.

Hi,
Are you using the hi-temp wash option when this happens? Does it happen all the time with hi-temp wash option on or off or both? Here's the thread link to the repair manual for this model: http://www.applianceblog.com/mainfor...40&postcount=1 Jake

We haven't used high temp wash. According to the manual, the longest the machine should be on heater delay is 10 minutes. Is it possible that this machine doesn't have the feature? It is about 5 years old. This model number doesn't exactly match the models listed on the repair manual above.
Is it possible that the heater element is not working well enough and takes an exceptionally long time to reach the 145 degree rinse temp? Is it possible that the thermistor is not working correctly? |

Hi,
Seems I had this problem before, but don't recall just what I found or did to repair it. Take a look at the thermostats on the bottom of the tub. Check the wires going to them too. Seems I had a problem with a bad connection on one. |
