Default Frigidaire Crown Series Squeeling

I fix cars not dryers so im new with this, my frigidaire crown series not sure of model but the only numbers on the dryer was frigidaire crown series 131551500. Its making a loud squeeling, seems like it gets louder then quieter in a pattern every second, almost like a certain spot on the drum is making the noise. I removed a small square in the rear lower lt corner and removed a pulley freeing the belt. I then ran it and there was no noise. Im not sure if its the belt, pulley, or somthing with the drum, I also dont know how to remove any other panels to get better access in there. Any help is greatly appreciated, attached is a link with photos of the dryer and where I am at. Thank you.

Hi,

You need to replace the rear drum bearing.
It's a cheap and simple job. Being you can fix cars I can tell you now it's not going to be a bearing like you think it maybe.

Lift the top of the dryer up from the front. There are a couple clips in front that you can push in with a putty knife to release the top.

Then remove the front of the dryer so you can pull the drum out.

You will need to lift the drum up about a inch and then pull it forward.

Once you have the drum out you will see just what the problem is.

There are also some pads that the front of the dryer drum ride on.
Now is a good time to look at them too while you got it apart.

done, I pulled that bearing. Its like a plastic surround, and then like a bulb which is connected to where the drum bolts. Its all full of crap. The plastic guides look ok, I did crack one of them off by accident tho. I want to replace that bearing, the guides, and the belt while im in there. I dont replace that bulb/drum mount metal piece, just the plactic bearing race correct? Also I was going to use axle grease, but is there another grease I can put in there thats better? Anywhere local I can find these parts rather then ordering online? My zip is 32084. Thats for the help

I use this kit that has everything you need it in.

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/pa...gram_id=376346

It's a common kit and any of the local appliance repair shops should stock it.

Thanks for the help. I checked and there was 1 local supplyer, however the guy was charging double the price of the stuff online. I ordered online but I order piece by piece and it was cheaper. The only thing i dont have is the lube. Is there a type of lube you would recomend that I could just buy at the store. I have in the garage axle grease, white lithium grease. Any of those work. Again thanks for the quick responses and help.

Not really sure on the grease. I have only ever used the stuff that comes in the kit. I don't think the grease is anything special. It does not turn that fast and I don't think it gets all that hot. It is next to the heater, but then the part is plastic too.
