Default water dispenser leak

I have a recurring problem with the water dispenser on my Frigidaire side-by-side FRS26ZNH. After I replace the Pure Source Plus filter, whenever I dispense water the dispenser will continue to flow water for about 3 seconds after i remove the glass. This will happen for about a month, then the problem seems to work it self out and is fine until I replace the filter a few months later and it starts all over again. Any suggestions on how to fix it? thanks

Yes,

It sounds like you have air in the line after you replace that filter, so to fix this, after you change the filter run 10 large glass fulls of water through your dispenser, it will get the air bubbles out.

thanks for the quick response. I've already tried that and it still has the issue. Guess I'll just have to wait it out.

Ok, have you noticed your water pressure has been decreasing over the years to the water dispenser?

Did this just start happening, or has it been an on going issue for years?

No decrease in pressure. It has been happening for about 1 year.

It's certainly something we can live with as it eventually clears itself up, and as long as we keep a towel handy it's not too messy. But I was hoping for a "quick fix".

Ok,

If you've got all the air bubbles out and it still does it, then its possibly your water inlet valve thats doing it.

If your ok with it for now, then you wouldn't need to change it.
