Default [FIXED] Ice maker wont eject ice :(

This will be my fist post so Hello to everyone. Jake what a nice site!!!!

I'm having a little problem with a Frigidaire (M# FRS26ZGEB4) ice maker. When I first started to work on the ice maker I could not get any water to fill to the ice mold tray. I removed the house incoming water line off of the fill vale and discovered someone removed the debris screen out of it. So I figured the valve was full of debris and I replaced it. I now have water making it to the mold tray. thought I was done....... Went to bed

The next morning I went to the frig to see if we had ice and found that the ice will not eject out of the tray. I could advance the white wheel and the fingers would try to eject ice but would not. It acted like the motor in the head unit was stripped. I replaced the ice maker head unit and I still get the same problem.

My evap fan is blowing. Condenser fan motor is blowing. My temp in the freezer is 10 F and ice is froze.

My question is is there a bin switch on this thing that is not making and not allowing the ice to eject?

Thanks in advance for any help on this problem!

Ok, I've run across this problem many times.

You'll need the complete ice maker assembly, here's the cheapest one I found for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 5303918277

5303918277

I installed this whole unit already. But still have the same problem.

What temp dose the ice maker switch need to be to tell the maker to eject ice? Because my freezer is only 10 F but that still is enought to freeze ice.

Ok, because from your first post you said you replaced just the ice maker head unit.

0-10 degrees is normal for every freezer.

17 degrees.

Oh ok sorry that I said just head unit. I ment the whole thing.

Darn, I dont know what is up with this thing because if it take a 17 F temp to make the swith it the unit it should eject.

Is there a bin or bucket switch in this thing to the the ice maker that there is a bin in place to let the ice fall?

Sorry, I'm not sure I follow you. Your ice maker sensor arm controls the amount of ice in the bin. There's no switch in the bin itself.

Thats very strange that your new ice maker isn't making ice.

Where did you buy your new ice maker assembly at?

Ok I did know if there was a switch on it or not to tell the ice maker the bucket was in place.

Yes very strange

Ebay. But when I got it I inspected it and the mold looks new so I thought it was good. The mold did not have any signs of water marks in it. Should I try another parts store and try it out?? Because If I changed out the Ice maker and the fill vlave everything should work as it is all self contained right?

Yup, It has to be a defective ice maker, nothing else would cause this problem since your freezer temp. if fine, and you already replaced your water inlet valve.

I always advise people never buy appliance parts on Ebay.

Buy it here, click here:
Manufacturer's Number: 5303918277

5303918277

You can always be assured the ice maker is new. And we have a special 30 day return policy if it doesn't fix the problem.
