Hi Guys,

New to the forum, so thanks in advance.
I have a Frigidaire FRS26ZHS The ice dispenser all of a sudden started ejecting ice. I have disabled the front panel, by removing the pc board. I have reinstalled the board, hoping it would reset itself. But no luck. I have checked the mini or micro switch attached to the activator lever, and the switch does work, the circuit closes when activated. So, would it be the PC board? Can someone help me diagnose this issue, so I don't buy parts that are not needed.

Hi Kyle,

There should be 3 more letters and a number after the "S" in your model#. The model# tag should be located inside the refrigerator section on the upper walls or ceiling.

Hi Jake,

Yes correct model # is FRS26ZSHB0. But to update you, I emptied the freezer last nig turned it off, left it to defrost/thaw out overnight. Put it back together this morning and it seems to be working fine. I will keep you posted on my progress. Thanks

I remember there was a service flash on this issue a few years ago.

If I recall correctly it was the dispenser control board that was malfunctioning.
