After much frustration with my 8 year old non-agitating/non-spinning Frigidaire Front Loading Washing Machine (Model: FWT645RHS1) which included buying the wrong speed controller (first time), then buying the proper speed controller (second time) but wasn't the problem, I finally paid more attention to the tech sheet (p/n: 131806900) just to find out that the motor is the problem. The resistance reading for the Armature Winding (should be less than 5 ohms) read infinity. So now, I have ordered a $300 motor, and might be able to do a wash in a couple of days.
But I was wondering if the motor can be refurbished by an electrical repair shop? It is p/n: 131722800, and actually has large screws holding it together, giving the impression that it can be disassembled and fixed. I was told by the salesman to simply through it away as it shouldn't be fixable. Anyone has successfully got a motor refurbished? Thank you. Al |

Hi Al,
I haven't heard of anyone getting a motor refurbished, but maybe one of the members here that has can post the information for you. Jake
