No. It will not stop coming out of the door once you use it. it pours out of the door until it's empty, but the motor contiues to run. Only thing that stops it is the door being opened. so I unplugged it.

Ok, then its likely your ice dispenser control board is bad, We had a rash of these go bad a few years ago, I was changing them left and right.
