My 2 year old Frigidaire electric dryer will tumble but won't heat. I get EA4 as a code. I checked and reset the house circuit breaker, and checked the vent for blockage, still nothing. It's model # AEQB7000EP0
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Matt Last edited by THUNDER BOLT; January 14th, 2009 at 05:45 PM.. |

Ok Matt, you will need to unplug or turn the breaker off to your dryer, then take it apart, this link will show you how:
http://www.applianceaid.com/wwf-howto.html Then look at your element, you may see a broken element wire. If a broken heating element wire isn't obvious, You would need a volt/ohm meter to diagnose it: http://www.applianceaid.com/ww-and-mc.html#e-noheat Here's the heating element assembly for your model: Manufacturer's Number: 131553900 Here's also the repair manual for your model you can print out the sections you need to: http://www.applianceblog.com/manuals...Dryer_2005.pdf Jake |
