Default GLTF2940ES2 not draining

My washer is not draining in normal cycle. When I turn it to drain/spin I hear the pump run for a second or 2, it is draining, but then stops and nothing happens. If I cancel the cycle nothing happens. In the past year I have replaced both the main control board and the motor speed board. I've also cleaned out the pump trap or boot. I'm going to start at the boot and see if anything is blocking the water. Seems unlikely since it pumps fine for that short period. I'm also going to run through the diagnostic. Any other thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default new symptoms

So, nothing in the rubber boot. However, when I tried to run the diagnostic nothing happened. I turned the knob to drain, push cancel and then when all lights are out I push options and cancel. I hold them until the display shows 13 and light are on just as ifI had pushed the start button once. I tried to run some other cycles but nothing happens, no water filling. Is the main control board shot?

Its likely your door latch switch assembly, we've had numerous problem with that going out and causing it not to start/fill/drain properly and not to spin properly.

Here's the door latch/lock assembly for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 131763245

131763245

Here's the repair manual on this model too:

You can print out the pages you need to change the door latch switch assembly.

Thanks Jake. Is there any way to test the door lock before I order. I have 4 girls plus wife so I really want to make sure I get this fixed asap. Thanks again.

Yes, through the diagnostics, but you can't get that to run through either at all?

Jake,
I got the lock assembly locally and replaced. Nothing. I should update you and say that the cycles do seem to be doing what they are supposed to do other than spin in any way. It seems like the water is taking a bit longer than usual to fill. I also replaced the motor control board since it was under warranty. That wasn't the problem. Any thoughts on why I cant get into the diagnostic mode? Is there any way to test the motor before I look at replacing? The tub spins freely. anything else that could be the problem? PC board? Thanks again.

now I'm just stabbing in the dark. I recalled the error code by pressing start and cancel at the same time and error code E5E shows. I rechecked the connections at both the pc board and speed control board. All seem fine. I then checked the resistance at the motor. 115 between pins 4 & 5 and 5.8 ohm between the windings so the motor should be fine. given that there is a brand new speed control board sounds like the next logical step is the pc board? What do you think? thanks again.

Yes, but its highly unuasal for that main pc board to go bad again, unless your getting power surges or spikes in your electricity to your house.

If it is the main pc board again, then I'd suggest a surge protector.

Here's a good one I found from belkin for just your single outlet to your washer:
