Unhappy Frigidaire FRS26FCWO, SxS, making buzzing sound

Yesterday afternoon, refrig started making buzzing sound. Took rear panel off cleaned off some dust. Compressor warm and vibrating to touch and evap fan working. Checked refer temp--40 degrees, freezer 10 degrees. Buzzing stopped in the evening. Can't seem to get temps of either side down any lower at higher settings either.

This AM when I got up, the buzzing could be heard again--rather loud with the back off, (sounds like a washing machine buzzer when the load is complete). Buzzer comes on every 2 minutes and lasts for 8 seconds. Build date of refer 4-03, purchased 6-03.

Can use your experience and wisdom Jake. Agree too that Frigidaire is JUNK! Exterior sheet metal, design, now this. Last one a GE lasted 23 years NO problems.

Thanx!
Dave

Hi Dave,

Yes, I ran into this issue many times on the Frigidaire models that made that buzzing sound.

Its likely the compressor thats starting to go out.

Thanks Jake--I think. HaHa!! A lesson learned about Frigidaire and almost every American made product any more. Pure Junk!

Well, I wouldn't say almost every American product made is Junk, just some of the compressors on the Frigidaire were failing more than other brands.
