Hello,
I just bought a home with a Frigidaire FRS26ZRG. I do not know the history of the unit. It does not make ice and when I try to use the water dispenser, I can hear a humming sound but no water comes out. I checked the water supply line and there is definitely water going into the unit as the puddle in my kitchen can attest to. Next time I will bring a bucket. I removed the filter and it did not help. I tried using the dispenser with the filter cover removed and nothing happened (except the humming sound). I have read other threads on this forum regarding replacing some valves but before I started ordering parts I wanted to know if there is anything I should try first. When replying please take into consideration that while I can take apart and reassemble a supercomputer blindfolded, I have no knowledge or experience with appliances and couldn't tell the difference between a solenoid and a flux capacitor. Please don't mistake my inexperience for being obtuse. Regards, Steve in Alaska |
