Question [FIXED] ElectroLux/Frigidare Gallery GLEH1642DS1

This unit is a stacked front load washer and dryer. Mfg. date 08/06

Problem started as the washer wouldn't work on warm/cold selection but would on other temp selections. Then the timer stopped advancing on its' own but would seem to work if manually moved past the several hang points.
I replaced the timer and the temp. selector switch but still will not advance through the complete wash cycle.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bill

It sounds like the cold water side of your water inlet valve may be bad, does it put in any cold water at all in any cycle?

Hey Jake, she said the only way to get cold water in it is to set it to hot and then turn the furnace off...lol
this would make the timer not advance?
Do you have a resource for the repair manual for this make & model?
Thanks,
Bill

LOL, thats the problem, because that timer will never advance without the cold water side not making it come out.

No, I don't have the service manual on that one.

But I'd make sure the cold and hot are working properly, a separate cold and hot water fill hose must go to each, and both the cold and hot must be connected and working from the water supply from the home facets.

Hey Jake, I got the tan colored valve body out... both hot & cold come at their faucets on the wall so that part must be good..so I guess the only thing left to do is order the valve?
I have put a link to your site on both my FB & MS pages and on my personal site http://allthingspc.weebly.com/ if that is ok.
I also paid that outrages>>>NOT<<< fee of 5 to try and somehow compensate you for all you do to help so many!

Not sure what to tell you now that you replaced it and its still doing it, you'll likely need to have a Frigidaire tech. come out to see whats going on.
