Have the same problem with my Frigidaire # FRS26LF8CS1 . Checked the feed tube for restrictions, all clear. Turned the gear, it went through its cycle but no water came into the maker. Where would I go from here?

    Thanks
    Mark

Ok, is your water dispenser working good? Lots of pressure coming out? If so, then the problem is likely your water inlet valve, it has a triple solenoid on it that controls water flow.

When the ice maker cycles, do you hear any kind of a humming sound from the back of your refrigerator from that water inlet valve, its best to pull your refrigerator out from the wall and listen closely while the ice maker is cycling.

Here's the water inlet valve for your model you can order:
    Manufacturer part#241734301 is RepairClinic item#1259226

Its located in the back of your refrigerator, your water supply line hooks up to it. You'll need to pull your refrigerator out from the wall, remove the lower back access panel to change it.

Hi, Well, I took the line out the back of the icemaker and it was not frozen. Unplugged and removed the valve (easy) and took it to a place here that also sells new ones and they checked it and they said the valve is operating fine.

Now unknown to me since this happened last week. my wife has been been placing water in it maually and it has been popping out the ice.

It does say somewhere that after the icemnaking arm is raised to stop working , it can take as much as 24 hours to come around when turned back on? If this is true and she has been raising and lowering the arm???

    Beats me.

Yes, that is true, just leave it alone for 24 hours and see if it works fine on its own.

Thanks, I'm going to install it all back in morning and see what happens. Hopefully it will start as mysteriously as it stopped.

Did a bit of research. Amazing how the y don't put schematics in the owners manual but this is what I have. I reinstalled it all today. Bough a bag of ice and through it in , put a note on the outside of the icemaker warning my wife not to f with it

I recall you mentioning turning the gear which I see in the diagram. How easy does this front cover come off to get at it?

Don't see any screws. Pop off? Thanks
