Frigidaire Ice Maker woes
I have a Frigidaire PLHS67EGBS2 that the ice maker has recently stopped working. These are the steps I took:
1. Changed the water filter since it was time to do so. No ice.
2. Verified water flow from water dispenser. Works well.
3. Turned ice maker off (lifted lever up) for a day and then back on. No ice.
4. Unplugged refrigerator and removed both connectors on the dual water valve. Placed the electrical connector for the water dispenser on the valve for the ice maker and pressed the water dispenser lever. Good water flow to the ice maker.
At this point I think I need to replace the ice maker. Am I on the right track or is there something else to check first? Thanks.

can't find Model PLHS67EGBS2 . I found PLHS67EGSB2. If that is your model than I would say that the problem is in the ice maker since you eliminated the water supply as the problem. Just for the heck of it pull off the cover from the ice maker and look at the plastic gear. See if it's broken. If so you can replace the gear.

Frigidaire ice maker woes cont.
Pinball, Jake, and everyone else...
I've also been troubleshooting this exact problem and here's what I've discovered on my end. I noticed where the water line attaches to the fitting at the top-back of the freezer this tube (or "trough" if you will) that feeds the ice maker will clog up/freeze solid. I removed the water line and was able to take a hairdryer and blast warm air through this tube (from the back) and a solid rod of ice will eventually pop out. I also removed and cleaned the ice maker, reassembled everything and my icemaker has been making ice great for about a month. Last night I noticed the icemaker again has stopped making ice and sure enough the tube is clogged again. Looking from the inside you can't see this clog; the trough looks clear, no ice etc. I believe the plug of ice is at or just past the bend where this tube transitions from the outside of the fridge to the inside. I hope you can follow what I'm trying to explain, what I want to know is how can you prevent this tube from freezing up? It is such a small diameter that it doesn't take much to clog it up, any thoughts anyone?

Ok lets first make sure you have this fill tube on your model.
Here's the fill tube for your model:
Manufacturer part number 241796401 is RepairClinic item number 1259318
241796401
Ok, a couple things would cause the freezing of the fill tube.
I'd first check your water supply line.
First Pull your refrigerator out away from the wall, turn off your water supply line that goes to it, then take off your water supply line from the water inlet valve, then get a bucket, cup, bowl, etc to catch the water, then put your water supply line in the bucket and turn it on, your water stream should be really good with good water pressure, if not then the problem is in your plumbing water supply line.
Let us know how the water pressure is.
A very LARGE problem in the last few years has been the self piercing shut off valve clogging up with calcium and junk! Replace the self piercing shut off valve with a drill type shut off valve. You drill a 1/4" hole into the pipe and install the shut off valve the same way you would with a self piercing valve.
If your water pressure is fine, then its your water inlet valve thats bad.
Here's the water inlet valve for your model you can order:
Manufacturer part#241734301 is RepairClinic item#1259226

Its located in the back of your refrigerator, your water supply line hooks up to it. You'll need to pull your refrigerator out from the wall, remove the lower back access panel to change it.

That is the fill tube; I will check the flow and let you know what I find out. How would the inlet water valve cause the fill tube to freeze up? I've checked the water valve solenoid before when this problem originally started and it checked out ok. I'll let you know what I find with the flow, thanks!

Low water pressure causes it.

Water inlet valve question
Jake,
Would a faulty inlet valve cause the water dispenser to drip occasionally? Once in a while the tray under the water/ice dispenser on the door will be filled with water.
On an unrelated note I did order a new ignitor for my oven and I noticed it wasn't in stock, I would like to order the inlet valve as well, can these be shipped together? Thanks again!
