DEAD Electrolux EW28BS71IS
Brand:
Electrolux
Age:
Less than 1 year
I got this "as is" and I knew it did not work. I am now trying to fix it with no luck.
When I plug the fridge in NOTHING works. No lights no display no clicking. I have checked the main control board under the fridge I do have power to the board, I have checked the 2 fuses on the back panel for the ice maker. I have not seen any burnt or discoloration on any of the boards. the only thing i can make the fridge show a sigh of life is when I have it plugged in I disconnect the touch panel from one of the leads and when I plug it back in this display lights up with a sc sy error ? link error? after that I can play with all the touch buttons but the fridge is not responding. no lights inside, no compressor nothing. if I unplug and replug it goes back to dead..
If Anyone can help me on this I would love to here from you..
Thank you
Josh

HIGH END REFRIGERATORS
Some of the high end refrigerators like yours can sometimes present a problem for "online" diagnosis. These refrigerators use computer boards, digital displays, electronic controls, thermistors, variable speed DC motors, and power inverters. Some models have two, three or even four evaporators. There are specific tests that are designed for these components. Troubleshooting these refrigerators usually starts by entering the refrigerators diagnostic mode. Troubleshooting steps are outlined in the service manual and should only be attempted by persons with some mechanical skills and the ability to read and understand flow charts, schematics and wiring diagrams. A multi-meter that can read AC volts, DC volts, Ohms/Continuity plus the ability to read and understand the results is also necessary. Troubleshooting with the service manual can be difficult and time consuming. Troubleshooting without the service manual should only be attempted by an experienced service technician.

OK Cool! No offence, but I'm particular to whom I give my service manuals to. I have that service manual so you'll need to send an email to ricksappliancerepair at hotmail. It's too big too attach to an email so when I get your email I'll send you a link from skydrive. Remind me who you are.
