Cooling Problem
Brand:
Frigidaire
Age:
6-10 years
Hello everyone, I was searching for the answer to my question for a couple of days now on this forum, to no avail. I know someone else was had this same problem but could not find the answer on here, so here I go.
My fridge and freezer gets warm after 4-5 days. I unplug it for a day and plug it back in and it works fine for 4-5 days. This can go on for months. Now it is unplugged and waiting to be fixed. The fridge is in the garage.
Any help is appreciated. TIA

Hi,
My fridge and freezer gets warm after 4-5 days.
Any frost on the freezer back wall?
Any strange noises when it quits?

No strange noises and I haven't noticed frost on the freezer back walls but I will plug back in today and let you know what I see. Thanks for the help and I will get back to you.
Is there anything else I need to watch while it is coming up to temp?

A frost build up can take 5-14 days to slowly build up and choke off the air flow.
Is there anything else I need to watch while it is coming up to temp?
Need to be more observant when it quits....what is working, what is not working, etc.

Need to find out what is or is not running....condensor fan motor ( beside the compressor ), compressor itself, evaporator fan motor ( in the freezer ).
Didn't run the 4-5 days this time

Nothing is running. I hear a buzz for a second when I plug and unplug it. The inside lights work. Bummer this can't be good.

Inside the fridge, in the back. I will check numbers when I get home and post. Thanks.
