Default Burnt Wires at Heating Element

Fridgidaire DEIL-W-3
We experienced no heat from our dryer a couple weeks ago. I opened the dryer and inspected it finding burnt wires. They are the 2 yellow wires that connect to the heating element, 1 from the controls and 1 goes down to the motor. I inspected the element visually and all looked fine, I purchased a Volt/ohm meter (I have very little experience with these) and tested the heating element to be 12.1? I cut the burnt wires back and replaced the burnt connector. The dryer worked fine again for about a week and a half. No heat again today and the same wires are again burnt.

Additional Info.
99% of the time we use the "Regular Automatic" setting at "More Dry" and on "Regular-High Heat". This usually left us with damp items that required and additional 10-15 to dry. The inside of the dryer and venting is as clean as I can get it. The vent, flex hose, exits at 90* and goes about 3" straight out of the house.
Thanks

I went ahead and made the same repair as last time so that I could get the current wet clothes dry. I went outside and felt up inside the vent and did find some blockage there. I cleared it and started the dryer up. The heat is working again and the top also seems to be a little cooler to the touch.

Hi,

Yes, dryer ventilation is the most important part of your dryer, as the clog you found seems to have fixed it.

I recommend that everyone buy either of these products:
Vent Brush For Cleaning 4-inch Round Dryer Vent 20 foot
LintEater Rotary Dryer Vent Cleaning Kit
