I have a Frigidaire FRS26R4A refridgerator where the ice maker is making ice, and the dispenser is properly dispensing water. But when trying to dispense ice (crushed or cubed), the motor whirs, but no ice comes out. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi,
**FRS26R4A**
Part of a full model#.
**But when trying to dispense ice (crushed or cubed), the motor whirs, but no ice comes out.**
Flapper door is opening in the dispensor? Ice cubes are not lumped/frozen together?

Oh, the model # is FRS26R4AB5 manufactured 07/02.
As for the ice cubes, admittedly alot of the ice is clumped together but there is still quite a bit that is not - and the flapper door does open.
thanks!

I'm having the same problem. Additionally, I just finished replacing the solenoid because the ice was remaining on crushed. After replacing it, the ice worked great for a day and then stopped dispensing altogether. You can hear the whir of the motor when you press the lever, but the big coil-thing in the ice bucket is not turning at all. And my ice has been all fresh. I've emptied it several times. Help!

Frigidaire FRS26ZRG icemaker
Same here. I was able to troubleshoot as far as to the part of the motor that turns the the ice in the bucket. I took the bucket out and started the motor. It turns. But, you can hold on to the motor part and it slips. I've tried tightening the bolt that holds the part on but no success. It's like it is stripped or something. Does anyone know what the part is and can it be fixed? Thank you in advance for your help.

You mean the coupler thats on the motor slips, or the motor is stripped?
