Default frigidaire gas dryer no heat - how 2 test parts?

5 Year old Frigidaire Gas Dryer CRGR7900AS0

Dryer runs without any heat, igniter looks ok, I was able to open the dryer, pull the drum out and see the glow. Pulled out the light sensor, thermostat and have access to everything else...

Question is how do I test these parts before I start replacing them?

Seem to have continuity on the sensors, but does that mean anything?

Other option is have the service man come in for $60/hr..

Rather fix it on my own, any advise on how to test these parts to narrow it down would be grateful.

Thanks

-steve

Now I lost my glow, fumbled with the gas coils.. The 3 pin seemed a little hot, could they be the culprit? How 2 test?

Hi,

Yes, its possible your gas coils are going bad, or your Igniter is bad now, even the Light sensor could be malfunctioning.

Jeff has a good troubleshooting page here, you will need a volt/ohm meter to test these parts:

Replaced igniter and gas coils, shes as good as new.. Minus a new squeak coming from the pulley off the belt, something a little greese can take care of..

Thanks, hope this will help others..
