Default Frigidaire Crown Series Model FDE323RGS1 Won't Run (Buzzing Sound)

I was drying a load of clothes tonight and when I went down to take them out the dryer had stopped. I tried to restart it and heard a "buzzing" sound but the dryer won't start. Any ideas?

Sounds like you might have a bad motor. Is the sound comming from where the motor is located? After it cools down, will it start?

I did not try to start the dryer this morning, but I will check when I get home from work. The buzzing sound is coming from around the top panel. Doesn't sound like it's coming from the bottom rear of the dryer (where I would suspect the motor is located).

If it is a bad motor, is it expensive to replace?

Did you try the timer in different cycles? If you push the start button with the timer in one of the off positions, the end of cycle buzzer will go off. That buzzer is in the console. I think your motor is ok.

Yeah, I tried it in all cycles. The buzzing sound is not very loud, more like the sound of a buzzing transformer. I tried unplugging it to see if it possibly had a master reset, but that didn't work. I wonder if my belt slipped off...
