Default Ice Crusher / Cube problem

Hi Noob here, I looked at the older posts about Frigidaire Ice Crusher / Cube selector sticking problems. Mine was stuck in the cube position. I removed the ice tray and see that the actuator in the back of the freezer goes up when I select cube and drops down for crushed. My actuator arm that goes from the front of the ice maker to the back to the actuator is now working. Problem seems to be that I can briefly make both selections work, but then it seems to want to get stuck back in the cube mode where the flapper arm by the crusher teeth are. It does not seem to be a very strong lever action to push the ice against the crusher teeth. This side by side is less than 6 months old. What else can I do before calling a repairman ? Also it seems like it tries to push the whole ice bin forward when crushing thus moving the actuator arm out of the actuator.

Sounds like you have a defective solenoid actuator, since yours is still covered under warranty, contact Frigidaire to have a tech. come out.
