Default PLDB998CC0 : Lights are are, but no one's washing

Our 3yo PLDB998CC0 mysteriously died during the wash cycle yesterday. The front panel showed that the cycle ran to completetion, but the tub was still full of water when we opened it.

Front-panel buttons still work "as expected", but when I tried to restart it to drain or run another cycle, neither the wash motor/pump nor the drain pump ever come on. It doesn't attempt to fill, either. Seems like the controller believes it's going through the cycle, but is otherwise "disconnected" from everything else.

I tried power-cycling it a couple of times, but that did not change the behavior.

From what I can tell in the owners manual, electronics, etc. should be covered for up to five years. Is it worth the hassle and expense of trying to get a "factory tech" to look at this? Is this a common problem? Should I just scrap it?!?

Thanks for any advice...
-Chris

Hi,

Yes, it would be good to use your 5 yr. warranty, Contact Frigidaire, you will need the control board, I have done a few of these, I wouldn't say its a common problem, but semi-common.

Here is the new control board for your model, in case others who are out of warranty can order it:
