I have a model FRS6LF7FW4 that was hit by lightning and it got the temp control board.

I replaced it and now it has a flashing #4. Did anyone ever figure out what this is?

    Thanks

I finally found the answer to this question.

The Flashing #4 occured when power was applied to the fridge and the control board went through it's cycles and didn't detect a dapener connection. I checked and sure enough one of the wires was disconnected from the dapener. Hooked it up, alls well.......

Hopes this helps someone else along the way

Ok, thanks for clearing that up, and also for the good information you provided on the flashing 4.

Here is the air damper for your model, so others can see what it looks like:

I'm not sure I understand what the flashing 4 means. I have a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator. The temperature control in the fridge is flashing a number 4 but the freezer one is fine. I've only had the refrigerator since June 2011. What does this mean? This is the weekend and I won't get anyone out here now. Will my food go bad? Model # is FFHS2611LW1

Thats a air damper issue, yes get Frigidaire to come out under warranty to fix this for you.

Get about 10-15 pounds of dry ice from any grocery store in your area, that will keep the refrigerator cold till they fix it.

Could a bad seal on the freezer door cause this? It doesn't seal properly at the top of the freezer door because I feel cold air coming out. It was like that when they brought it to me.

Possibly yes, get a hair dryer and move it back and forth on the door gasket where its not sealing to heat it up and see if it seals properly.
