Default Frigidaire PLD3450RDC1 "Er" Flashing Error

Can anybody tell me the reasons for getting all lights on the front panel flashing with "Er" in the display ?

I cannot press anything on the button panel that will clear the error.

I have cycled power and get "PF" (power fail) as normal, but once I clear "PF" by pressing cancel I get the flashing again.

Any help appreciated.

According to Epinions, this is a common problem that has caused numerous people lots of issues. It seems the electronics may be a susceptible to moisture from the washer itself.

Does anybody know if this is true ?

Sorry for the typo. The model # should be PLD3460RDC1.

Yes, they have had some issues with the electronic control board doing this.

You would need a new one, you can order it here:

Thanks.

I am going to try and work the extended warranty first.

However, being as I am the second owner (but within the extended warranty period) they may be sticky.

Is that replacement circuit board the same as the original or improved in some way to counteract the problem ? If not maybe it's worth spraying on Humiseal to prevent moisture ingress.
