Default HelpPlease Residue in Self Cleaning Filter

I have a Frididaire D ish Washer model FDBB540DS0. The screen/self cleaning filter that sits on the bottom collects moisture and the rim forms mildew. No clues in manual on how to remove the screen to clean or how to prevent this. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Barb,

I found the online owners manual for your model, and it shows in there on page 11 how to take the filter out.
