Default Frigidaire Gallery stove GLGF377ASD F1 code

Frigidaire Gallery stove GLGF377ASD is giving F1 code for 3rd time- repaired 2x's prior (oven sensor, EOC- I think). Code is given intermitantly; 7yo.- is it worth fixing? Repairman too expensive to use for 3rd time. Any help appreciated.

Thats the Electronic Control Board (F1). When was the last one replaced? It should have a year warranty on it.

It was purchased in 2000, used for apx. 1yr. and stored for 1yr. Brought out of storage (garage, covered) used for apx.8mo. when F1 code set off and out of warranty. Repaired by Russian Appliance Mafia and worked fine for 1yr. and a bit more i.e. out of warrenty when F1 code set off again. Again, fixed by Russian Appliance Mafia, worked until apx. 2mo. ago when F1 set off yet again, and thus out of warranty. So, my 800.oo dollar range has cost 1300.oo+. If the part is relativly inexpensive (apx. $150.00) and can be replaced by self I'll chance it on the bet that I'll buy a complete suite of appl. w/in the next 2yrs. when kit. gets redone.
How do you replace the E.C.B.?
What is the critical design/mfg. flaw that causes F1 code-repeatedly?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I've checked ApplianceRepair.com- they don't list 'electronic control board' specifically. Is it listed as 'clock'?
Thanks-

I'm not sure but my theory is the plastic housing holds moisture in from cooking and takes out the microprocessor on the board. I've seen a lot them fail with the F1 code. Part#316222906 Electronic Clock/Timer.

Thanks. Looking at range it would seem to be a matter of unscrewing/removing metal back, removing white plastic housing from front and a simple plug n' play of new clock/timer unit? I think I can handle it. If you have any other suggestions always appreciated.
Thanks again-
JFo

That's basically it. I think you've got it. If you run into any problems let us know.
